Rann of Kutch – The White Salt Desert

Rann of Kutch is famous for its salty desert. This beautiful land covers the area in Gujarat,
Indian up to the Sindh province, Pakistan. This beautiful land is reputed as the largest salt desert in the world
. The word Rann is the hindi word derived fromthe Sanskrit word “Irina” which means desert.

If we discuss the climate of the Rann of Kutch, then normal days’ temperature does go around
50 degree Celsius in the day time. Since it is a desert area, it adopts temperature very quickly as it gets hot faster. So the best season of the enjoying at white rann of Kutch is the winter. Also, the winter days are celebrated here as the “Rann Utsav”.

As a mean of transport to the way to the Rann of Kutch, one can hire a private vehicle from the capital
city of Kutch, which is Bhuj. The nearest airport and railway station are situated in Bhuj only. While
the season of Rann Utsav is going on one can get a bus from the Bhuj and Ahmedabad as well.

The Rann of Kutch is also home to the many wild and unique creature. It is famous for flamingos and
wild ass, as these can be seen here often.

Moreover, It is famous for colourful culture, a mixture of amazing Gujarati language influenced with the regional language Kutchi and mixture of apparels with the influence of colourful bandhni, turban, dhoti and kediyu which are said to be a regional dress code. Therefore, can be said the white, glittering crown to the mother nation India and this salty land
shines like a diamond.
